March Math Madness

Bring on the Madness... March Math Madness

Mary Martin is excited to announce our first annual March Math Madness! To kick it off, we invite all students to dress up in a basketball jersey or their Roo spirit attire on Monday, March 1.

During the month of March our campus will focus on building math fluency. Students will compete, within their grade level, on basic math facts to crown the ultimate Mathlete. To encourage math fact practice and develop overall math skills, a Math Bingo Board will go home with each student on Monday, March1. Students and families can work together throughout the month to complete the math tasks on the bingo board. When a student has a bingo (row complete), return the board to school and the student will earn a prize. The Math Bingo Board is a fun way for our students to practice math at home but is optional.

During the week of March 8th, we will have our first round of competition in each student’s homeroom/math class. All students will complete a 5 minute fact test. Then on Friday, March 12, we will announce the top 32 students in each grade level. After Spring Break, these 32 students will continue to compete in fact fluency until we have the top Mathlete from each grade level.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.

School Dismissal Manager... Download the App!

This is a friendly reminder that we use the School Dismissal Manager app. This allows each family time to log in to the system, download the app, and verify your child’s dismissal information. The directions for the new dismissal process are included in an email you received from School Dismissal Manager system. There are also videos on You Tube from the company if you would like more information on how it works.

We appreciate your patience during dismissal. With your help and cooperation, we are able to dismiss students safely from the homeroom classroom. We feel the dismissal app with be a great tool to add to our current dismissal process. Thank you for your time!
